HVAC Tech 2: Career Interest Form
Tech 2 – Developing Service Technician
Experience: 6–24 months verifiable HVAC field experience
Pay: $22–$28 per hour, based on experience
Minimum Requirements
You should have:
- 15+ residential HVAC installs completed
- Led at least 5 of those installs as the primary installer
- 500+ residential service calls completed
- At least 250 of those service calls run independently (not just riding along)
- Install experience may be partially offset if you've completed 500+ solo service calls
Who This Is For
Apply as a Tech 2 if:
- You are ready to operate a service truck and respond to calls on your own
- You can perform routine maintenance and handle common repairs with minimal supervision
- You have developed the fundamentals needed to work independently in the field
Tech 2 Definition
If you are independently running service calls but have not yet reached 15+ installs (5+ led) and 500+ service calls (250+ solo), you should apply for Tech 1.
