HVAC Tech 3: Career Interest Form
Tech 3 – Experienced Service Technician
Experience: 2–4 years verifiable HVAC technician experience
Pay: $30–$36 per hour, based on experience
Minimum Requirements
You should have:
- 30+ residential HVAC installs led as the primary installer
- 1,000+ residential service calls completed
- Install experience may be partially offset if you've completed 1,500+ solo service calls
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve the majority of service calls without senior technician assistance
- Demonstrated ability to educate customers and sell solutions ethically, not just complete calls
- Commitment to recommending only what customers truly need through a standardized, ethical sales process

A Tech 3 is a proven residential service technician who can independently diagnose, recommend solutions, complete repairs, and create value for customers without relying on senior-level support for most calls.
